JULY 2007 NEW YORK BIG 3-0 CELEBRATION!

THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEP! DEFINITELY!

No matter what you like to see and do, you can find it in New York State!
Last time I’ve been to New York was seven years ago. That’s when I celebrated my 23rd b-day. Gosh! Now that I’m 30 I feel old. Waaahhh!!! My consolation is I don’t look it. BLEH! If you happen to disagree then tell it to the moon…like I need your approval! HMP!!!
New York naturally offers something for everyone. Let’s talk about SHOPPING. Do you love shopping? Who doesn’t, right? Then treat yourself to a weekend shopping spree to any malls your hearts desire. If money is not an issue you should visit SAKS FIFTH AVENUE the world’s most famous shopping street in Manhattan. Absolutely Shop Till You Drop! (Gosh! I’m so jealous. Darn! How lucky can you be?) But if you’re looking for great deals just like moi who is always on a look-out for the best value – for- your money shopping places that offers that try outlet store. Visit the famous factory outlet (WOODBURY COMMON PREMIUM OUTLET), where you will find quality items at affordable price. Please don’t wear heels for goodness sake! (Your feet will thank you later) Yeah, I should have known better. *sigh *

Most of the popular sights in New York are located in Manhattan- The Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center, Museum of Modern Art, the Chrysler Building, the United Nations and Roosevelt Island are in Midtown (unfortunately we weren’t able to visit all the place I mentioned here. There’s just not enough time.). There’s also the Central Park located at the center of Manhattan (I think). Times Square is in Downtown, and it’s known for its many Broadway theaters, cinemas and super signs. The Statue of Liberty, as well as Ellis Island is in Lower Manhattan.
If you stay in Manhattan you would basically remember just three things that you were in Uptown, Midtown and Downtown or so I think. There’s more to see but don’t just take my word. Go visit and see it for yourself.

Now let’s talk about food. New York Restaurants will please everyone’s palate. Any dish that you can think of, you’ll find it here! Don’t forget to visit some of the Filipino Restaurants in Queens? Bring your appetite and prepare to have your taste buds dance with delight. Oh Yeah! And before you leave New York you should try Juniors Cheesecake it is well known for its fabulous strawberry cheesecake. YUM-O! No Kidding!

No matter what type of tour you choose, you’re bound to have a memorable experience.

The things that I don’t like in New York were the traffic due to road constructions, accidents and others. I just hate traffic. Let’s not forget the Toll fees. Geez man I felt like I was robbed harhar…Parking was hard and the parking fees are just a killer.

A big shout out to my dearest hubs, he really knows the way to my heart. Thanks to YOU my ever generous hubs. YOU’RE THE BEST AS ALWAYS! MUAH! LIFE’S GOOD, ALL’S GOOD!

Anyways, we had a reservation at Marriot Courtyard Hotel but had to cancel at the last minute because my ever procrastinator hubby called a friend 1 day before the trip to let him know that we are coming for a visit and hubs proudly announce that I would be celebrating my big 3-0 there. Gosh! Did he really need to mention that? (Harhar)
Go figure!

This friend of ours graciously offered his place. We gladly accepted his offer. It was very nice of him to invite us and invade his place. He even take good care of our little angel AJ while dear hubs and I browsed and Shopped. I’m not going to mention his name because I don’t think he would like that. Anyways, if you’re reading this I just want to thank you and your beloved significant other, we really do appreciate it. Hope you can visit us here sometime soon.

I was very happy to finally see my good friend Aileen and her family because it’s been a while since we last saw each other. Hope to see them here in NC real soon. I miss you my dearest friend.
